The Town of Rocky Harbour currently lists established options including Ocean View Hotel, Fisherman's Landing, Westlink Motel and Augustus Jane Inn. The right choice is less about a universal "best hotel" and more about location, room type, breakfast, laundry, accessibility and whether you want to walk to dinner.
Cottages and efficiencies
Rocky Harbour has a large number of small cottage and suite operators. These are often the practical choice for families or stays of several nights because many include kitchens, decks, barbecues or laundry. Check the current Town accommodation directory rather than relying on an old list copied from a travel blog.
Bed and breakfasts
The Town's current directory also lists several B&Bs and country inns. These can be a good middle ground when you want a smaller property but do not need a full kitchen.
Camping near Rocky Harbour
Berry Hill Campground is Gros Morne's largest and most centrally located Parks Canada campground. It is close to Rocky Harbour and has three hiking trails leaving from the campground area. Parks Canada lists the 2026 operating season as May 22 to September 28. Check current dates and reservations before travelling.
